Since the announcement of new PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 replaces the Directive 89/686/EEC, ULTITEC has been working to ensure timely conformance to abide the Regulation schedule. Since 22nd April 2019, which marked the ending of one year “Transitional Provisions” period, few significant progression listed below:
1.ULTITEC protective clothing has been retested and recertified to the latest safety standards in response to Regulation (EU) 2016/425.
2.Product production is now subject to new regulatory requirements.
3.Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and User Instructions Sheets (UIS) for each product clearly downloadable on website.
This proved that ULTITEC meets the safety requirements provided by CE certification officially and is well ready to serve worldwide for enhancing occupational safety.
Besides, ULTITEC has sorted the amendments for new Regulation for better understanding. According to the Regulation, CE certificates are valid for 5 years counting from the date of issuance. PPE products need to be recertified to keep up with latest safety standards to get the CE mark. Thus, instead of the old Directive with no expiration date, we can now be more certain whether the PPE selection is still legally applicable to enhance occupational safety.
Do consult our ULTITEC’s team via derekduck@derekduck.com. or your local distributor to receive all appropriate documentation in ensuring your PPE selection is appropriate and fit for purpose to “Act without fear!” in workplace.
